INSTRUCTIONS
Duct controller, one 0...10 V output
CDC1 is a duct-mounted controller with one 0...10 V output.
It is intended for control of heating or cooling in ventilation and air-
handling systems. It can be set to P- or PI-control and has an input
for seasonal change-over between heating and cooling
Installing
Mount the unit at a suitable location on the incoming airduct.
Ambient temperature, running
0...+50°C
Ambient humidity
Protection class
Wiring
Supply voltage
24 V AC ±15%, 50...60 Hz. Power consumption 2 VA
Terminal 1 24 V AC
Terminal 2 24 V AC System neutral
Output signal
0...10 V DC, 1 mA
Load resistance, minimum 10 kOhms
Terminal 3 0...10 V DC
Terminal 4 Signal neutral
External setpoint / SPC
CDC1 has an input that can be used for external setpoint or for
setpoint displacement (SPC) using an external potentiometer or a
0...10 V DC signal. The jumper BY3 sets the function of the input.
With the jumper set for internal setpoint the input can be used for
SPC. (SetPoint Control). This means that the setpoint can be dis-
placed ±15K, either using a SAP-NTC15-01-3 potentiometer or by
applying a 0...10 V signal. 5 V gives no displacement, 0 V gives a
-15K displacement and 10 V gives a +15K displacement.
Terminal 5 0...10 V input = 0...30°C (setpoint) or ±15K (SPC).
Terminal 6 +10 V DC out for supplying an external potentiometer,
Change-over function
CDC1 has an input for a change-over function which sets the output
to be either for heating i. e. increasing output on increasing heat
demand or for cooling giving an increasing output on increasing
cooling demand,
The input can either be connected to a AB Industrietechnik NTC
sensor, for example SCC-NTC15-01 or to a free closing contact.
With a closed contact the output will be for heating and with an open
contact, for cooling
When a sensor is used, it should be mounted to monitor the supply
water temperature. When the water temperature rises over 22°C the
output will be set to heating and when the temperature falls below
18°C the output will be reset to cooling.
N.B. 1 For proper function when using a change-over sensor the
system must have constant primary-water circulation.
N.B. 2 If the change-over function is not used the change-over
input should be left open when the controller is used for cooling
and short-circuited when the controller is used for heating.
Terminal 7 Change-over sensor or free closing contact
Terminal 8 Signal neutral
max 90 %RH
Setpoint
IP65
0...30°C
Is set using either the built-in potentiometer or using an external
setpoint potentiometer or a 0...10 V control signal.
Wiring of external potentiometer, see figure 2.
Use jumper BY3 to choose internal or external setpoint.

Jumpers
Jumper BY1 Closed = I-time is 2 minutes
Jumper BY2 Closed = P-control
Jumper BY3 Closed = Internal setpoint and SPC
CDC1 has a red LED for output indication. The light intensity
varies according to the output voltage level.
CDC1 has a LED pair for indication of output function. If the
green LED is lit it indicates that the output is set to cooling and if
the red is lit it indicates that the output is set to heating.
This product conforms to the requirements of the EMC Direc-
tive 2004/108/EC through product standards EN 61000-6-1 and

This product conforms to the Directive 2011/65/EU of the
European Parliament and of the Council.
