EC Declaration of conformity : Silentron spa declares under its sole responsibility that the
EN
products described in this manual comply with the requirements set out by the Directives
and related Standards and/or technical specifications below:
1) EC Directive 1999/5/CE - R&TTE - dated 9 March 1999 (in Italy D.L. 9/05/2001 n. 269)
regarding radio appliances and and telecommunication terminal equipment and the reciprocal
acknowledgement of their compliance. The Standards and/or technical specifications applied are:
- LVD health protection (art. 3(1)(a)): EN 60950-1 (2006-04), EN 50371 (2002-03)
- EMC (art. 3(1)(b)): EN 301 489-1 V1.8.1 (2008-04), EN 301 489-3 V1.4.1 (2002-08), EN 301 489-7
V1.3.1 (2005-11)
- Radio spectrum (art. 3(2)): EN 300 220-1 V2.1.1 (2006-04), EN 300 220-2 V2.1.2 (2007-06) : In
accordance with the above-mentioned directive, annex 4, this is a class 2 product and therefore can be traded and used with no limitation.
2) EC Directive 2004/108 dated 15 December 2004, for the approximation of the laws of the Member States relative to electro-magnetic compatibility. The Standards
and/or technical specifications applied are: EN 50130-4 (1995-12) + A1 (1998-04) + A2 (2003-01) - EN 55024 (1998-09) +A1 (2001-10) + A2 (2003-01) - EN 301489-1
V1.8.1 (2008-04) - EN 301489-3 V. 1.4.1 (2002-08) - EN 301489-7 V1.3.1 (2005-11)
3) EC Directive 2006/95 dated 12 December 2006 for the approximation of the laws of the Member States relative to electric material destined to be used within
certain voltage limits. The EN 60950-1 (2006-049) Standard is applied.
4) Specific Standards: Standards EN 50131-1 A1-S1 apply;
5) The products described here are environmental class 2, therefore for exclusive use in internal environments.
Notice: the equipment here described must be installed and started up by specialized technicians in accordance with current Regulations. It is compatible with the
Silenya HT control units with 3015J or 30151J firmware and following (3015K, L and so on – manufacturing from 2010 on).
Functioning: this bidirectional wireless battery operated keyboard is integrated in the context of a Silenya HT alarm system and serves the purpose of arming/
disarming the control panel, receiving and viewing unencoded the system status and certain important events, as well as transmitting alarm controls to the control
panel itself and/or home-automation activation controls to appropriate receivers. Easy application and intuitive operation, constitutes the natural evolved user
interface of the system.
Operation as home-automation receivers control: the device is also useful outside of the alarm system context, used as universal control of radio receivers (see
Silentron catalogue) for home-automation applications, such as opening gates, switching on lights and so on.
230V Charger: the device can be equipped with additional charger code 5978, with one or two back up batteries, becoming a pleasant table console which can be
carried where necessary, within the foreseen radio range: in this case the batteries are only used in case of lack of current, as long as the device is always connected
to the mains. It is in any case advised to change the battery/batteries at least every 5 years, also in absence of low batteries signal. For installations to the wall it is
possible to use the charger code 5991 (14V, with plug).
Warning ! Radio range: in case of shifting of the device there can be areas inside the locations where the radio transmission/reception is not regular, because of
electromagnetic reflections following the disposition of walls and furnishings. This is not synonym of defects, although it is an unavoidable consequence of noted
physics phenomena. In the context of the locations therefore avoid to place the device in positions in which the operation presents occasional discontinuity.
Operational function: the keypad operates with the same access codes foreseen for the used control panel.
Warning! After 5 faulty arming and/or disarming attempts the keypad is blocked for 3 minutes.
Arming operations: press the centre of the keypad, enter the 5-digit code, then press the icon of the requested operation: total arming (ON); preset partial arming
(ON white/black); optional partial arming (A B C): enter the area/s to arm, then press ↵
Disarming: press at the centre of the keypad and enter the 5-digit code. Same operation, but with the appropriate code to disarm under threat: the system is
disarmed, but the "aggression" telephone call starts simultaneously (if programmed).
Operations confirmation: it is displayed unencoded on the display.
Adjustments: before entering the code, it is possible, by pressing the appropriate icons, to adjust the intensity of the display light, the buzzer sound and the duration
of the lighting time. Warning ! The latter may be adjusted if the device is powered with 230V. If only powered with batteries the time is fixed at 5 seconds, to reduce
battery consumption.
Warnings: while disarming the keypad signals new eventual events occurred during the system armed period, while it signals eventual open fixtures during system
arming: this occurs according to the control panel programming.
Relay activation: by pressing the appropriate icon, the first possible activation appears. Through the arrows one can highlight eventual other preset activations: once
the desired activation is identified press ON-OFF to activate/deactivate, or ON if the activation is timed (the preset activations will appear automatically).
Other activations with direct access: see "Meaning of keys and icons"
Meaning of keys and icons :
ESCAPE
activation of external sirens for three minutes (panic)
medical aid telephone call (or aggression aid, according to executed programming)
programming tools menu (sensor labels and radio relay activation)
control unit status information request (armed = ON disarmed = OFF)
access to radio receiver manual activation for home-automation applications
