Place the appliance on a stable and heat resistant surface.
Check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the
voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance. Check that the
thermostat knob is set on MIN and plug the fondue set in.
Fill the pot with oil, broth, cheese or chocolate and place it on
the heating base. Don't put to much in the pot.

As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the thermostat
light goes out. The thermostat and the thermostat light will
toggle on and off as the thermostat in the pot maintains the
correct temperature.
Place the spatter shield on the pot as soon as the desired
temperature is reached. The fondue set is now ready to use.
Set the thermostat on a high level for a meat fondue with oil.
For an Asian fondue, cheese- or chocolate fondue set the
thermostat to medium.
The temperature is set correctly when the content is gently
bubbling.
Make sure to slowly heat up the content especially with cheese-
and chocolate fondue to prevent the content from sticking or
boiling over.
Stir regularly with a plastic or wooden spoon to get a smooth
mixture.
Use an oil which is suitable for fondueing when fondueing meat,
such as sunflower oil. Not all oils are suitable and can spatter a
lot.
Put an ingredient to a fork and place the fork in the pan in a
groove of the spatter shield. Note: the forks are sharp. Do not
prod the pan with the forks.
• Note: be careful with frozen and wet ingredients. The hot oil
can spatter or may foam.
• Do not throw any ingredients in the pot. Always use one of the
forks.
