5. Install the wall plate at the desired wall location for the TV.
a. Dry-wall mounting
Note: Dry-wall must be thicker than 1.5" (39mm) and wall studs must be more than 2.75" (70mm) thick.
i.
Unscrew the two screws on the wall mount bracket. This will allow access to the bottom
mounting later.
ii.
Determine where the mount location will be. Use a stud finder to locate the nearest wall
stud.
iii. Once the stud has been located, use a pencil to mark the center of the stud.
iv. Using a 1/8" drill bit, drill the upper mounting hole where the mark was made.
v.
After the holes have been predrilled, line up the mounting slot openings with the pre-drilled
holes.
vi. Flip the long mounting bar up for easier access to the mounting slot openings.
vii. Insert four (4) M6x55 screws into the mounting holes and tighten. Do not flip the long
mounting bar down yet.
viii. Refer to the level on the mount. Once the mount is level, tighten down all screws.
b. Concrete wall mounting
Note: Concrete anchors must be used for concrete installation. The mounting surface must be a
minimum 6" thick.
i.
Unscrew the two screws on the wall mount bracket. This will allow access to the bottom
mounting screws later.
ii.
Place the mount into position against the wall, using the level on the mount for proper
positioning.
iii. Mark off four holes to be used for securing the mount.
iv. Drill holes using a masonry bit for the anchors (recommended is a 5/16" masonry bit).
v.
Insert four (4) 10mm expansion pipes into the mounting holes.
vi. If necessary, a hammer can be used to lightly tap each expansion pipe into place so that
they are flush with the wall.
vii. Once all the expansion pipes are in place, move the wall bracket into position.
viii. Flip the long mounting bar up for easier access to the mounting slot openings.
ix. Attach the M6x55 screws onto the expansion pipe. Do not flip the long mounting bar
down yet.
x.
Refer to the level on the mount. Once the mount is level, tighten down all screws.
Extra screws and expansion pipe are backup.
