The reverse connection LED (F) lights up in case of reverse
connection of the clamps. Check and change the clamp connection.
If there is any fault, the error LED (G) lights up. This can occur for
example if the wrong charging mode has been selected (6 V
charging mode for a 12 V battery) or when battery cells are
damaged.
Select the corresponding charging mode before (!) you connect
the charger's terminals to the battery.
Selecting Charging Mode
The battery charger has a memory function. It automatically returns
to the last selected mode when the charger is powered on.
Before connecting the battery to the battery charger press the mode
button (A) to manually change the charging mode. By pressing the
mode button repeatedly, the charger toggles each time between 6 V
charging mode and 12 V charging mode.
Charging Mode 1
This mode is suitable for 6 V batteries with capacity range from 1.2-
12 Ah in normal conditions.
Connect the output terminals of the charger to the battery with the
right polarity. Connect the power cord to the power outlet. The
charger starts charging with a current of 5.25-6.8 V, 1.0 A +/-0.1 A
resp. 6.8-7.2V, 0.6 A +/-0.1 A. Charging continues through charging
stages 25% - 50% - 75% - 100%. The corresponding battery
charging stated LEDs (H) light up. A fully charged battery has a
voltage of 7.2 V +/-0.125 V.
The trickle current (0.1 A +/-0.05 A) is now available for
maintenance of the battery.
Charging Mode 2
This mode is suitable for 12 V batteries with capacity range from
7.2-60 Ah in normal conditions.
