Replacing the Battery
1. The battery compartment is located at the rear side of
the digital piercing thermometer. Use a One Cent coin
or similar to turn the battery compartment lid (6) a quar-
ter turn counter clockwise and open the battery com-
partment.
2. Remove the spent battery and insert a new battery of
the same type LR44. Pay attention to the proper polarity
of the battery. The plus pole faces out of the device.
3. Close the battery compartment with the lid.
Replace the battery if the display readability gets weak-
er or if you get irreproducible measuring results:
Cleaning and Storing
 Only use a soft, lit free cloth to clean the housing of the
unit. Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives and
do not use liquids.
 Clean the temperature probe with warm water or with
neutral detergent.
 After measuring, put the protection cap on the ther-
mometer.
 Store the unit indoors in a place that is protected from
moisture, dust, dirt and extreme temperatures.
 Store the unit out of reach of children.
