ENGLISH
Select the required experiment medium (air or water) by pressing the orange
button.
Select the experiment calibration by pressing the green button. There are 2
calibrations in air mode (0 to 0.125% and 0 to 2.5%) and 2 calibrations in
water mode (0 to 1 g/L or 0 to 20 g/L).
In the case of doubt on the choice of calibration, use the largest one.
2.4 Calibration
Calibration of the ethanol probe is made at a single point.
Depending on the calibration selected, prepare an ethanol solution:
• Calibration 0 to 20 g/L:
Prepare a solution with 20 mL alcohol/L of water and adjust the slope to 16 g/L
that is 2% by content.
• Calibration 0 to 1 g/L:
Prepare a solution with 1 mL alcohol/L water and adjust the slope to 0.8 g/L
that is 0.1 % content.
Remark: Prepare calibration solutions by diluting denatured alcohol.
To adjust the slope:
- Soak the probe in the chosen calibration solution.
- Press the small violet button for a few seconds. A flashing arrow appears on
the violet band of the slope sign.
- Adjust the value displayed using the centre button to display the value
closest to the calibration value.
- Validate by briefly pressing the violet button.
- The arrow then appears above OK.
If the arrow appears above the "Caution" sign, check the ethanol probe is
operating correctly. For more details consult the instructions for the ethanol
probe ref. 453084.
2.5 Connected mode
