T-Connector Wiring Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open the vehicle's rear hatch and remove
the plastic threshold cover, floor coverings,
and storage covers. Remove trim panel
fasteners and pull out slightly on the left and
right side interior trim panels (Fig. 1).
3. Locate the vehicle's tail light wiring
harness behind the interior trim panels on
each side. The harness will have connectors
similar to those on the T-Connector Harness (Fig. 2).
4. Beginning on the left (driver's) side, separate the vehicle harness
connectors by pressing on the locking tab and
carefully pulling apart. Insert the T-Connector ends
with the Brown and Yellow wires into the separated
vehicle harness connectors. Press firmly together
to ensure the locking tabs engage.
5. Route the T-Connector ends containing the
Green and Red wires below the threshold to the
right (passenger) side. Repeat step 4 using the T-
Connector ends with the Green and Red wires.
6. Strip 5/16" of insulation from the legnth of 12 Ga.
Black wire provided and connect it to the Black wire
on the T-Connector's black box using the butt connector provided.
7. On the left (driver's) side of the vehicle, mount the T-Connector's black
box on the floor of the vehicle using the foam tape provided.
Note: Ensure proper clearance for all trim panels, liners and
threshold prior to securing into place.
8. Locate a clean accessable mounting location on the vehicle near the T-
Connector's black box within reach of the white wire and grounding eyelet.
Drill a 3/32" hole.
