SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance's ceramic plate gets very
hot during use and remains hot for a
few minutes after use. Do not touch the
ceramic plate when it is hot!
The appliance must be placed on a hard,
heat-resistant surface. There must be a
gap of at least 10 cm on each side of the
appliance so that the built-in fan can cool
the appliance sufficiently. Do not block the
air vents!
Do not move the appliance while the
ceramic plate is hot or while there is a pan
on the appliance.
Do not heat empty pans.
Do not place metal objects such as cutlery
and cooking utensils on the ceramic plate.
Avoid banging pans onto the ceramic
plate. If the ceramic plate cracks or
breaks, the appliance must be unplugged
immediately and must not be used again
until it has been repaired.
Do not place the appliance near to objects
such as radio/TV equipment, credit cards,
cassette tapes, etc. that cannot tolerate
magnetic fields.
SUITABLE COOKING PANS
Once the appliance is on, the coil under the
ceramic plate forms a strong magnetic field
which is transferred to the pan, heating it up.
Only use pans made from steel, stainless steel,
cast iron or enamelled iron with a flat, magnetic
base with a diameter of 12-20 cm. Pans with-
out a magnetic base cannot be heated on the
appliance. Look for the "Suitable for induction"
symbol on the pan or on the pan packaging.
