Description
Item 0 261 37 is an electronic device intended for use in monitoring systems associated with DPX electronic breakers which can obtain all the
information on the state of the protection unit, converted into one of the most common formats in industrial applications, the Modbus protocol on
RS-485, in the RTU and ASCII modes.
This information includes for example the protection state (pre-alarms, alarms, etc.), the history (causes of the last operation with indication of the
phase involved, operation counters, etc.), the electrical and thermal magnitudes (phase and leak to earth currents, card operating temperature,
etc.) and the protection state information (threshold levels set, rated current of the switch, number of poles, etc.).

Configuration
A1-3 – Modbus Address.
The Modbus address is defined by configuring the first three positions.
Each of these can be worth "no configurator" = 0, 1‚ 9.
The address value (in decimal, values allowed 1÷247) is obtained as follows:
A1· 100 + A2· 10 + A3
Example:
A1=2, A2=3, A3= "no configurator":
the address value is 230.
M – Modbus Transmission mode.
The transmission mode is defined as follows:
- 1
➩ ASCII modes
- "other values"
➩ "not allowed"
- "no configurator"
➩ "default" (RTU mode)
B – Modbus Transmission speed.
The transmission speed is defined as follows:
- 1
➩ 1,2kbit/s
- 2
➩ 2,4kbit/s
- 3
➩ 4,8kbit/s
- 4
➩ 9,6kbit/s
- 5
➩ 19,2kbit/s
- 6
➩ 38,4kbit/s
- "other values"
➩ ""not allowed"
- "no configurator"
➩ "default" (speed 9.6kbit/s)

Note:
for correct operation of the communication with the
MEGATIKER the Tx and Rx cables of module M7TIC/ELE
must be connected to the Rx and Tx terminals of the protection
respectively (see wiring diagram).
