OPERATION
Disconnect the power supply before making adjustments or changing accessories.
Before starting the tool
Always use the right size of socket. The wrong socket will damage the nut.
The screw or nut to be tightened must be manually screwed directly onto the thread. It can not be set diagonally.
Do not overwork the tool, do not use excessive force. Do not press on the bolts with you tool while using it.
If the bolt does not rotate and the drive stops, stop the tool from working. Use tools with a higher impact or tighten the screw by hand.
Do not use hand screwdrivers and hammers to tighten the screws.
Switching ON/OFF
Start the tool by pressing and holding the ON/OFF switch down. Release the ON/OFF switch to stop the tool.
Direction of rotation
Clockwise (Screwing): Slide the rotation switch (3) to the left. Press the ON/OFF switch.
Anticlockwise (Unscrewing): Slide the direction of rotation switch to the right. Press the ON/OFF switch.
Slide the rotation switch into the middle position to lock the ON/OFF switch.
Adjusting the speed
The ON/OFF switch has a variable speed control. Lightly pressing the ON/OFF switch will result in a low speed. Increasing the pressure will increase the speed.
Attaching/Removing sockets or accessories
WARNING! Ensure that the correct socket is being used for the nuts on your particular vehicle. An incorrect socket size is likely to damage the heads of the
bolts/nuts.
Loosening the nut
1. Remove any wheel trim, before selecting the appropriate socket and placing firmly on the square drive of the wrench.
2. Select the appropriate socket and place firmly on the square drive (2) of the wrench. Holding the machine firmly in both hands, select the direction of
rotation (3) to unscrew (counter-clockwise) and press the ON/OFF switch (1). The torque will build up and impact the nut repeatedly until the nut is loosened.
IMPORTANT! Release the trigger immediately when the nut begins to loosen.
3. Raise the vehicle according to the vehicles handbook so that the wheel is clear off the ground, then proceed to fully undo the wheel nuts.
Tightening the nut
1. Start the nut by hand, ensuring it is not cross threaded, then with the appropriate socket installed on the square drive (2), place it on the nut.
2. Select the direction of rotation (3) to screw (clockwise), hold the wrench firmly in both hands and press the ON/OFF switch (1) gently. You can vary the spindle
speed by modulating finger pressure on the trigger.
3. Pass each nut in turn until it " fastens " only on top. Do not tighten, do not fully press the trigger. When all nuts are "fastened", tighten progressively by pulling
the trigger fully and allowing the action to operate for 3 to 4 impacts only, to prevent overtightening.
4. Always finish tightening with a torque wrench or suitable spanner. The weight of the vehicle will need to be placed on the wheel to prevent it from rotating
while the nuts are tightened. Ensure the final torque applied to the nuts meets the vehicle's manufacturer recommendations.
MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the plug before performing any maintenance work on the tool.
• Keep the air ducts and the engine housing as free of dirt and dust as possible. Clean the equipment regularly with a dry cloth. Do not use any water, cleaning
agents or solvents that could damage the tool.
• If the power cable of the tool is worn or damaged, contact an authorised service center. Cables and plugs must only be replaced by authorised personnel to
avoid damage or harm (electric shock).
Carbon brushes
Remove and inspect the carbon brushes after periods of extended use. Replace them when they are worn down. The brushes should be kept clean and free to
slide up and down in the holders. Both brushes should be replaced at the same time as a pair. Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder covers from the
machine body. Draw out the worn brushes and insert new ones before replacing the brushholder caps. Only use identical brushes.
ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL
In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of
recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool's plastics components are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove
environmental friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.
Only for EU countries
Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with
national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible
recycling facility.
