The unit is designed to be operated by using the included AC adaptor. 2 x 1.5 V
"AAA" batteries (not included) are also required for the clock, radio, preset and
alarm memory backup.
CONNECTING THE POWER AdAPTOR
1. Plug one end of the power adaptor into the DC in jack on the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the AC plug of the AC/DC adaptor to 100-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz power
source.
NOTE:
Disconnect the power adaptor when the unit is not used for a long period of time.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Unscrew to open the battery door on the bottom of the cabinet.
2. Insert 2 new batteries (not included) into the compartment following the + and -
markings inside the compartment and close the battery door.

BATTERY CARE
i. If the unit is not used for an extended period of time remove the battery. An old
or leaking battery can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
ii. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may leak or explode.
iii. Do not try to recharge batteries that are not intended to be recharged. They can
overheat, rupture and leak. (Follow the battery manufacturer's directions.)
iv. (a) Do not mix old and new batteries.
(b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zink) or rechargeable (nickel-
cadmium) batteries.
v. Change the batteries periodically to maintain battery backup.
