PETROL / DIESEL INTAKE and DPF CLEANING
USING THE EQUIPMENT TANK
1.
Start engine
Stop engine when oil temperature reaches 70°C or normal
operating temperature.
2.
Dismount pressure and return fuel lines from fuel system
and disconnect the electric fuel pump
OR
Dismount pressure and return fuel lines from fuel system
and shunt them in order to create a closed loop.
3.
Connect universal hoses to fuel system.
4.
Connect battery clamps of MécaCleaner equipment to
battery (of the vehicle).
5. Turn pressure regulator
4
counterclockwise to have no
more pressure.
6.Start engine when MT424 MecaCleaner equipment has
been filled with fuel in the tank (1/2 liter of pure gasoline or
diesel depending on the car).
Regulate pressure: see pressure table below.
Essence/Petrol/Benzina
Diesel
Multipoint: 2,8 – 3 bar
Common Rail:
Monopoint 1 –1,5 bar
Start 3- 3,5 bar
Normal 2,5 bar
K-Jetronic 4 –5 bar
Pump injector: start 3
bar, normal 2,5 bar
KE – Jetronic: 5,5 bar
In-line pump: 1 – 2 bar
Rotary pump: 1 bar
D – Jetronic: 2 –3 bar

Carburettor: 0 – 0,5 bar
electronical control; 1,5
– 2 bar
Warm up the engine. Check the connections by starting
the engine.
Put the SPECIFIC TREATMENT into the MécaCleaner
equipment tank.
Refer to the corresponding technical data sheet :
TCE :
MT503 - petrol injection
TCD :
MT511 - Diesel injection
TCFAP : MT558 - Diesel DPF regeneration
8.
Start engine and check for correct operation.
Block the engine speed at 1500-2000 rev/min. Check the
connections.
During the treatment in progress we recommend
to clean the EGR intake thanks to the same MT424
equipment.
Go to part 2) – on the right page : " EGR INTAKE
CLEANINIG USING THE EQUIPMENT TANK 2) "
9.
System stopped alarm "End of time", or "Liquid Level Too
Low".
10.
Disconnect universal hoses and reconnect original fuel
lines
Put the fuel pump back in working order.
11.
Drain red and blue hose with universal hose.
12.
Push "START" and "STOP" until no more liquid comes out
of the green hose.
13.
Remove clamps from battery.
14.
Start engine and accelerate several times to check
with
reconnected fuel lines.
IMPORTANT :
After treatment we strongly recommand to
change the engine oil preferably making an engine flush
using our Oil Circuit Cleaner NCH MT024.
Provide fot the replacement of the oil filter and of engine
oil. Add TC1 (MT001 for petrol or MT010 for diesel) or TC3
(MT003 for petrol or MT013 for diesel) in the engine tank to
complete the cleaning.
EGR INTAKE CLEANING USING THE
EQUIPMENT TANK 2)
ISSUE :
Clogging of the intake circuit (throttle body, inlet valves,
intake manifold), of the turbo EGR circuit (EGR valve,
exchanger) and the combustion chambers.
Loss of power that can induce the engine to operate in
degraded mode.
MécaTech
®
offers a fast efficient and safe solution for
the engine parts, the DPF and the catalyst.
Recommended for the intake circuit cleaning process:
• 1 dose of 600mL MT551
• MT424 equipment
Wear PPE such as gloves and glasses
OPERATING PROCEDURE:
1.
Pour 600mL of MT551 in the equipment tank
9
Refer to the data sheet for MT551
2.
Dismount the air line in the back of the air filter to be
closed to the EGR valve. Place the spray head
7
air line inlet and adapt it if necessary so that the product is
injected towards the turbo or the throttle body.
3.
Start engine and check for correct operation. Block the
engine speed at 2000-2500 rev/min.
4.
Open the tank supply valve
8
5.
Wait for the tank to be empty (about 60 minutes) then
stop engine.
6.
Start engine and check for correct operation. Block the
engine speed at 2000-2500 rev/min.
7.
Resettle the air line as it was initially and start engine (if
the check engine light illuminates, clear the default with a
diagnostic device).
IMPORTANT :
After treatment we strongly recommand
to change the engine oil preferably making an engine
flush using our Oil Circuit Cleaner NCH MT024.
Provide fot the replacement of the oil filter and of engine
oil. Add TC1 (MT001 for petrol or MT010 for diesel) or TC3
(MT003 for petrol or MT013 for diesel) in the engine tank
to complete the cleaning.
