Mounting instruction
See Figures 5–10. The extractor arm can be mounted on wall or ceiling together
with a wall bracket. Ensure that the surface, on which to mount the arm, is level
and use the wall bracket to mark the holes.
Use locking fixing bolts and nuts suitable for the wall material. The bolts
much each stand a torque force of minimum 1200 N (2m), 1900 N (3m),
3200 N (4m), 4500 N (5m).
Use a spirit level and make sure that the NEX HD is fitted in a horizontal
position.
NOTE!

Fitting the hose
See Figure 11.
Connect the hoses together so they will fit properly in the hose joint. Make sure
that both hoses meet halfway in the joint, see item A.
Stretch the hose on the lengths X and Y to get maximum hose over the links,
see item B.
Fit one of the hose straps below the hose joint, see item Z.

Using NEX HD
The NEX HD can easily be positioned at any point within its working area. It
can be rotated 180° when wall mounted and 360° when ceiling mounted. For
best capture the hood is to be positioned as near the fume or dust generating
process as possible. It has the best suction capacity when it is positioned
according to Figure 12, item A.
Recommended air flow: 1000–1700 m
directions.
The hood is equipped with a damper which can be adjusted with a lever (X).
Always check that the airflow is sufficient in the hood before work begins.
Insufficient airflow is depending on:
•
The fan impeller rotating in the wrong direction.
•
Hood, hose or 90°-bend are blocked.
•
Filter cartridges are blocked.
WARNING!
Check that no sparks or other objects which can cause fire are sucked in to
the arm. For welding applications generating a high amount of sparks, a spark
protection (accessory) must be mounted in the hood to reduce the risk of fire.
WARNING!
Squeezing risk at horizontal link (B) on 4 m and 5 m NEX HD-arm,
see Figure 12.

The nut securing the hood must be tightened securingly, see Figure 10,
