3.4 Strap connecting the airbag garment to the motorcycle
1. First installment on the motorcycle
Methods of attaching the strap to the motorcycle differ depending on
the motorcycle brand and models. Adjust the lenght of the strap by ma-
king sure it is as short as possible but doesn't restrict any of your mo-
vements. If fitted incorrectly, the device could be triggered accidentally
when the motorcyclist pulls the strap.
CAUTION
• Check that the chosen fixing point is strong enough to resist over
35kg.
• Check that the fixing point is not in contact with any hot or sharp part of the motorcycle.
• Replace the strap when worn out, burnt or if it appears cracked or has any other fault.
2. Connecting the airbag garment to the motorcycle
Connect the clip on the airbag garment to the clip on the strap everytime you go riding. The same
way you do with a seatbelt in a car. Disconnect yourself before dismounting. Check the wear and
tare of your strap regularly.
3.5 Precautions after activation
Pay attention to the following points when the airbag garment is inflated:
• The gas will escape gradually through the decompression hole. The pressure sensation will
remain for 5-10 seconds. If the cushions are pierced when the airbag is inflated, all the
cushions will empty and the airbag garment will deflate.
• While inflated the airbag will come up high around the neck, it could be difficult to retrieve your
helmet the first few seconds.
• The deflation happens through a hole, don't block the hole that is letting the gas out the airbag.
• If any external damage to the airbag garment is caused during deployment, take it to an au-
thorised dealer for servicing. In the event of serious damage to the airbag garment, it may not
be possible to repair it.
4. Storage
Follow the guidelines below to enjoy long and reliable use of your airbag garment:
• Avoid high temperatures (direct sunlight, if left in a vehicle, near a heat source or flame).
• Do not leave exposed to the rain. Do not leave under the rain when not in use. Riding under the
rain is not a problem. In other words, make sure it has a chance to dry while not riding.
• Do not expose to steam.
• Avoid excessive humidity.
• Do not cover with anything heavy.
• Do not leave within reach of rodents or other animals.
• Do not fold or roll up for prolonged periods. It is best to leave the jacket on a hanger.
