GENERAL INFORMATION CK31 - CK31F-CK31FC
Package handling instructions
- The machine is supplied in a corrugated cardboard box with overall dimensions
34x53xh67 cm weighing 15 kg (23 kg for CK31F);
- the box must be handled and stored in the upright position;
- do not place objects that weigh more than 15 kg (23 kg for CK31F) and/or have a dif-
ferentsized base on the box.
Unpacking instructions
- Carefully inspect the box before opening; if it is damaged or seems to have been pre-
viously opened, do not open. Reject the box and register a complaint with the carrier.
Failure to do so will void the warranty.
- To unpack the machine, open the corrugated cardboard box, remove the machine and
set aside the bag of accessories.
Warning!
To dispose of packaging materials, observe the regulations in effect where the
machine is installed, in consideration of recycling rules when applicable.
Inspection of package contents
The package contains:
- the machine equipped with power cord (9);
- n° 1 nozzle (12) with vacuum sleeve measuring m. 5 complete with water quick co-
uplings (14).
WARNINGS
Safety and accident prevention instructions
The machine must only be used by trained and qualified personnel.
The machine must be located in a dry and well-ventilated area where air is changed at
least once an hour with 50% of the total fresh air without the aid of special ventilation
systems. The temperature of the work area must be between 10°C and 35°C with hu-
midity between 50% and 90%.
The surface on which the machine rests must not exceed a maximum 5 - 10 degree
gradient.
Do not plug in or out when your hands are wet.
Always unplug the machine when not in use, before maintenance or cleaning and be-
fore replacing the dust bag or filter.
Do not pull the power cord to unplug the machine.
Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp corners.
Do not near the vacuum tube or accessory ends to your face, specifically near eyes or
ears, due to the damages that the air flow could cause.
Do not expose the machine to rain.
Do not lift and transport the machine by the handle with a lifting device.
Make sure that the pneumatic supply corresponds to the requisites.
Warning! - Explosion or fire hazard
- Do not vacuum flammable or explosive dust (i.e. magnesium, aluminium, asbestos,
etc.);
- do not vacuum flammable or explosive liquids (i.e. petrol, thinners, etc.);
- do not vacuum aggressive liquids or substances (i.e. acids , bases, solvents, etc.);
- in the event of fire, use the fire alarm system and keep away from the area observing
the emergency plan prepared for the work station you are in.
Specific use
The machine is high stress qualified for industrial applications according to regulations
EN 60335-2-2.
The manufacturer is not liable for incorrect machine use that may be hazardous to peo-
ple or things.
Warning!
- Do not use the machine as a dry vacuum cleaner;
- do not run the pump without water.
START-UP
Electric mains
Single-phase voltage 230V 50/60Hz with grounding wire ated mm
ker must be installed upstream from the electrical socket 6Ka 30mA da 10A.
After having checked that the switch (5 and 6) is in the "0" position, insert the power
cord plug in a socket that supports the machine load.

PARTS OF THE TOOL
1 - upper tank
2 - lower tank
3 - vacuum motor
4 - Loading inlet
5 - pump switch
6 - motor switch
7 - quick coupling
8 - sleeve inlet
9 - power cord
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
a) Lift the upper tank (1), after having freed it by opening the side hooks (10).
b) Pour cold or room temperature water in the lower tank (2) through the load inlet (4),
adding 5% on non-foam detergent (half a litre ever ten litres of water). Higher con-
centrations may be used for carpets and upholstery very dirty.
c) Fasten the upper tank (1) to the lower one (2) using the side hooks (10).
d) Connect the machine to the nozzle (12) using the water and vacuum tubes. The
quick couplings (14) on the water tube (small tube) should be connected to the cor-
responding quick couplings (7) that are found on the machine (fig. 4) and near the
nozzle handle (12) (fig. 5).
e) Connect the vacuum tube in the same way: one end to the machi ne (8) and the
other to the nozzle (12).
f) Next turn the water pump switch (5) and vacuum motor switch (6) to "I".
Warning!
When using the machine do not dispose of consumption or other waste materials in the
environment, this could cause serious damages; dispose waste according to the regu-
lations in force in the country where you work.

MACHINE USE

For normal cleaning proceed injecting and vacuuming simultaneously. To inject water,
press the specific faucet lever (13) found on the nozzle handle (12) (fig. 6).
For persistent stains, undiluted detergent may be applied locally. Spray cans with sol-
vents suited for all stain types are readily available. Choose quality and specific deter-
gents and stain removers to avoid damaging the washing surfaces. Always test the
product in an area where any damages will not be visible.
Washing method:
- Ideally divide the surface in several parallel strips and proceed from right to left mo-
ving backwards over the strips for a segment equal to slightly more than half the

1.5. A circuit brea-
length;
- use a pace that corresponds to the level of dirt. Reverse working direction and treat
the remaining part similarly;
- for deep upholstery cleaning the manufacturer recommends injecting water on the
surface to be washed (or part of it) and then vacuuming, so as to leave the solvent
more time to work.
Warning!
- If the machine is used as a liquid vacuum, check the level of water in the upper tank
(1), to avoid liquids from entering the vacuum motor;
- if the detergent used produces little foam, or when washing a carpet that has been
previously cleaned with shampoo, pour a small amount of non-foam liquid in the lo-
wer tank (2). Foam, if introduced in the motor, may damage it in time.
