Battery Installation - See Figure 1
3 AAA
• Alkaline (LR03)
• Lithium (L92)
• Rechargeable NiCad or NiMH
Princeton Tec cares about the environment and
recommends recycling batteries. For more in-
formation about battery recycling, please go
www.batteryrecycling.com.
Install three AAA batteries according to the po-
larity markings on the inside of the cabinet. Ob-
serve proper battery polarity when installing the
batteries. Improper installation of the batteries
will damage the light and void the warranty.
Rotate the door to the closed position,
squeeze the body between your forefin-
gers and thumb to snap the door latch over
the catch.
C
WARNING
Never mix fresh and used batteries.
• Never mix different battery brands or
chemistry types.
• Always remove drained batteries
immediately.
• Remove batteries during long periods of
storage. NOTE: Rechargeable NiCad or NiMH
batteries may result in reduced brightness due
to lower nominal voltage.
Switch Operation -
See Figure 2
Modes are selected by rotating the power dial
to the desired setting. The default "lockout" set-
ting positions the dial indicator so it is protected
from accidental activation during transport. One
step forward activates red Ultrabright mode. The
next step forward is the off position. Next comes
Ultrabright low flood mode. An additional step
activates Ultrabright high flood mode. The next
setting provides the Maxbright spot beam. The
final step activates both spot and flood beams
for maximum output in the Dualbeam pattern.
Power Consumption
Refer to the burn time chart for performance data
for different battery types and mode settings.
The times listed in this chart assume you start
with fresh batteries and use only one mode.
Troubleshooting
If the Sync fails to light:
• Check the batteries for proper installation.
• Replace batteries if proper installation is con-
firmed.

DISTANCE
(METERS)
Princeton Tec calculates total burn time as the time it takes for the light source to produce a minimum of
•
0.25 lux at 2 meters. 0.25 lux is about the equivalent of a full moon on a clear night.
• Check the light for water contamination on the
circuit board. The light will resume normal op-
eration once the water is shaken or blown out
and the light is left open until completely dry. If
the light has been contaminated with salt water,
flush the unit with fresh water and dry as de-
scribed above.
