Safety Instructions
Please read this booklet before you use the PiMag
when operating any electrical appliance.
• To prevent the possibility of an electric shock,
don't immerse the Optimiser base in water and
keep it dry at all times.
• Make sure you use the Optimiser on a surface
that is hard, flat and dry.
• Don't block the vent openings or run the
Optimiser continuously for a long time because
this could cause the unit to overheat.
• Make sure you unplug the unit when it is not in
use or if you're cleaning it.
• Keep the cover securely fastened on the jug
when you use the Optimiser and don't place any
foreign objects in the jug.
• Don't operate the Optimiser if it has a damaged
cord, if it doesn't work properly, or if you've
dropped it.
• Hand wash the jug and cover with a mild
detergent and a soft sponge. Then use a soft
cloth to dry them.
• Don't leave the Optimiser unattended when
it is running.
Caution: If you have an electronic medical device such as a pacemaker, or a magnetically sensitive
surgical implant, or you are in your first trimester of pregnancy you should first consult a physician
before using this product.
Before using the Optimiser for the first time
1. Hand wash the jug and cover with a mild
detergent and a sof sponge.
2. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Open the box containing the rotor and pi ring.
Rinse these thoroughly in water.
4. Make sure the silicone rubber ring is in place
around the edge of the rotor.
5. Place the rotor flat side down in the middle of
the space inside the pi ring.
6. Put the pi ring and rotor inside the bottom
of the jug and secure it by turning the pi ring
clockwise until it locks into place.
7. Gently shake the jug once to make sure the pi
ring is secure.

®
9. Fill the jug with one to two litres of PiMag
water from the Nikken PiMag
making sure you don't fill above the two-litre
line marked on the jug.

Optimiser for the first time. Remember to be careful

• Only use PiMag
Water System in the Optimiser.
• Don't overfill or use the Optimiser with an
empty jug.
• Don't put solids in the Optimiser jug.
• Don't add any substances such as sugar,
sweetener or vitamins to the water in the jug.
• Don't use hot water above 80°C in the Optimiser
or put the jug in an oven.
• Don't attempt to take the base apart.
• Don't press more than one button at the same
time.
• Don't use or store the Optimiser in a dusty, wet
or humid place.
• Replace the pi ring after one year or 200 hours
of use.
• Don't install the PiMag
- a computer or computer peripherals;
- a television, VCR or VHS tapes;
- an area subject to strong vibration; or
- magnetic cards, including bank and credit
cards, access cards and so on.
10. Make sure the cover is securely fastened on the
jug, and place it on the Optimiser base.
11. Avoid spilling water on the base. If this
happens, unplug the unit and dry the basewith a
soft cloth before using it again.
12. Turn on the power by pressing the
'On/Off' button.
13. After pressing the 'Mode' button once, the cycle
countdown number (in minutes) will appear on
the display.
14. Press the 'Start/Stop' button to start
the Optimiser.
15. Wait until the Optimiser has completed its
cycle.
16. After emptying this rinse water,
the Optimiser is now ready to use.
