Gerneral Safety Information

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ASSEMBLE, INSTALL, OPERATE, OR
MAINTAIN THE PRODUCT DESCRIBED. PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS BY OBSERVING ALL SAFETY INFORMATION AND
REGULATIONS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE! ALL FANS LISTED IN THIS MANUAL ARE FOR COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY. THESE FANS ARE NOT
INTENDED TO BE USED IN RESIDENTIAL SETTINGS.
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, observe the following –
1.
Read all instructions before using this application.
2.
Use fan only in the manner intended by the manufacturer as described in this manual.
3.
Power source must conform to electrical requirements of the unit: 110/120 Volt AC only.
4.
Installation work and electrical wiring must be done in accordance with NES (NFPA 70) and all
applicable local codes and standards including fire rated constructions. All wiring MUST BE DONE
BY A QUALFIED ELECTRICAN.
5.
When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring or hidden utilities.
6.
Before service or cleaning, remove power from fan. To remove power, follow these instructions -
a.
If the specific unit has a power switch, flip the on/off rocker switch to the off position
located on the unit.
b.
Switch the power off at service panel and lock the disconnection means to prevent power
from being switched on accidentally. When service disconnecting means cannot be locked,
securely fasten prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the panel.

Installation Warnings and Tips

1.
To reduce the risk of injury to persons, install fan at least 2.1 meters (7 feet) above floor.
2.
Check that the supply voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on motor inside fan. Any
deviation may void warranty.
3.
If using beam clamps, make sure the beam clamp is mounted securely to the building structure,
truss, I-beam, or support beam.
4.
When using cable, chain, or Gripple kits for hanging, make sure to follow all instructions within
this manual under the "2.1 Hanging" section.
5.
All set screws must be checked and retightened where necessary after installation. No lubricants
should be used on screws or hooks.
6.
Do not place the Air-Row fan in the direct supply air path of the HVAC units.
7.
Be sure the Air-Row fans air column has an obstructed path to floor. Do not install over cooking
surfaces in kitchens.
8.
Floor maintenance may require the Air-Row fan to be shut off during the maintenance to avoid
rapid drying of floor treatment products.
9.
Always disconnect fan from power source before service. To prevent issues, do not block air
intake or exhaust in any manner. Use fan ONLY in the manner intended by the manufacturer.

Maintenance

Warning! – Always remove power supply before servicing.
Warning! – Do not immerse unit in water (IP-54 only) *
Cleaning – Important! Clean unit with vacuum brush attachment on vacuum. This will remove lint
and dirt from the inside of the fan. Clean aluminum body with cloth.
Caution – While cleaning, do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, harsh cleaners, alcohol,
solvents, etc. These chemicals could damage the units.
Do not attempt to take apart unit unless spoken with manufacturer.
Store the unit with these instructions in the original box in a cool, dry area.

Safety Features / Troubleshooting

A TOP (Thermal Overload Protector) is permanently built into the EC motor to prevent overheating. When
an overheat temperature is reached, the unit will automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when
the user resets the power to the unit. To rest the unit:
1.
Turn the power to the unit OFF and re-supply the power.
2.
Some units are supplied with an ON/OFF power switch. If your specific unit has a power switch,
flip the switch off for 10 seconds then back on for hard reset.
