1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the covering in the boot.
Clear the entrance to both rearlight units.
Remove the rear treshold and the leftside treshold. Bend the leftside trim to clear the area around the earthbolt.

Use the existing hole, which is located in the back part of the boot.
Place the supplied grommet in this hole.
3.
Lead the wiring harness in the boot. Lead the end of the towbar wiring harness from the inside of the trunk through the grommet,
to where the socket should be mounted. Careful: hot exhaust!!
Pull the rubber coverplate over the end of the wiring harness. Remove the contactholder from the socket, and connect the socket as follows:

Mount the socket to the towbar.

Connectors are located at both rearlight units. Disconnect the connector at the right side. Connect the connectors with the green wire corre-
spondingly. Disconnect the connector at the left side. Connect the connectors with the yellow wires correspondingly. Fit the white wire to the
chassis earth.

Insert the 8-pole connector of the harness with the brown, red and black wire into the included relay (5C002). Insert the 8-pole connector of the
harness with the yellow and green wire into the included relay (5B009). Fix the relays close to the left rearlight unit using the foam.
6.
Lead the brown/white and orange wires through the left side of the vehicle to the fusebox.
Drill an 8mm hole in a for the driver well visible position in the dashboard, and fit the 2nd direction indicator light in it.
7.
Fix the eyeletts of the brown/white and orange wires to the +30 of the powerrail located on the rear of the fusebox. Insert the fuses into the
fuseholders: 10A for the orange wire and 15A for the brown/white wire and put the included caps over the fuses.
8.
Mount the socket to the towbar. Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
By switching on flashers (3x 21W) or the warning lights (6x21W) the 2nd direction indicator light will flash.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
INFORMATION:
The 3 pole connector with Red/Blue and Red is for optionel switched power and trailer detection.
