Your ESQ by Movado quartz analog tide watch is
®
equipped with a center-mounted tide indicator hand
with audible setting signal, tide range/moon phase
subdial, small seconds subdial and date display.
The center-mounted tide indicator hand is used to
monitor the time remaining until the next low tide
(hand points at 6 o'clock) or high tide (hand points
at 12 o'clock). The hand makes one full revolution
every 12 hours, 25 minutes, 14 seconds, based on
the duration of an average tide cycle (high tide to
low tide, back to high tide). Push button B allows
you to adjust the setting to reflect local tide tables
for your area.
Moon phase indication is based on the length of
a lunar month: the moon phase subdial hand will
make one full rotation every 29 days, 12 hours, 44
minutes. Push button A allows you to adjust the
moon phase setting.
NOTE: For most accurate settings, consult your
local papers or internet for current high/low tide
