Installation instructions
SUPPLIED WITH 2 #10-32 MACHINE SCREWS AND STAR WASHERS
MAXIMUM LOAD CAPACITY: 35 LBS (15.9 KG) FAN, TIGHTENED AT A RECOMMENDED TORQUE OF 35 LBF-IN (3.95 N-m)
BOX INSTALLATION
Determine exact location. Octagonal box ceiling fan must be mounted ush with ceiling surface and directly supported by building
structure (see gure). It must also be located to allow rotating blade to clear any object or other buildings structures. Blade should be at
least 7 feet from oor when fan is hung. Wherever possible, octagonal box should sit at against wooden joist and fastened by the
bottom with two (2) #12 x 1-1/2" wood screws.
FAN INSTALLATION
Proceed with fan installation, following manufacturer's installation instructions. Ensure power at main electrical power is turned o
before starting installation.
Note: When mounting fan's mounting bracket, be sure to use two (2) #10-32 machine screws and star washers supplied with the box.
Star washers will prevent screws from loosening due to vibration.
In accordance with CEC 2012 Edition: Rules 12-3010 (8) & (9)
12-3010 (8) Where a ceiling outlet box marked for fan support is installed, the outlet box shall be
(a) securely attached directly to the building structure, or
(b) attached to a bar hanger securely attached directly to the building structure.
12-3010 (9) A pendant ceiling fan and all possible accessories weighing 16 kg (35 lbs) or more shall be supported independently of the
outlet box.
Approved for ceiling fan installation. Ceiling
fan may be mounted horizontally or with up
to 30 inclination.
