WARNING

rating (including in your vehicle owner's manual)
or specific amperage ratings stated on product.
ALWAYS read, understand and follow all
warnings and instructions printed on tow
vehicle's battery.
ALWAYS wear safety glasses and use all safety
precautions during installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
8mm Socket & Ratchet or 8mm Wrench, Drill (3/32"
Drill Bit), Wire Crimpers, Wire Cutters, Philips Head
Screwdriver, Test-probe
1. Open rear tailgate. Locate the and remove the 8mm
bolts retaining the tail light assemblies on both the
driver's and passengers side.
2. Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both
driver's and passenger's taillight assemblies being
careful to not damage any locking tabs. Place
c
tailights aside.
3. Beginning on the driver's side and underneath the
vehicle, route the harness containing the yellow
wire up through the opening between bed side and
frame to driver's side taillight pocket.
NOTE
For ease of installation use a fish wire through the
taillight pocket and bed side to pull harness from
underneath vehicle out through the taillight pocket.
4. Insert the T-One Connector end, with the yellow
®
wire, between the vehicle wiring connectors and
lock into place. All connector surfaces should be
c
clean and free of dirt.
5. Underneath the vehicle below the driver's side tail
light pocket, mount the T-One
using the double-sided tape provided.
CAUTION
Make sure module is mounted so that the epoxy
side of the module is pointed towards the ground to
prevent any water buildup.

6. Locate a suitable grounding point near the black
box such as an existing ground stud or drill a 3/32"
hole and secure the white wire using the eyelet and
screw provided. (Do not drill into vehicle floor or
bed.) Clean dirt and rustproofing from area.
Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to
avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury.

Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
7. Route the harness with the green wire, behided the
rear bumper and accossed to the passenger's side
under the tail light pocket.
8. Underneath the vehicle on the passenger's side,
route the harness containing the green wire up
through the opening between bed side and frame to
passenger's side taillight pocket.
NOTE
For ease of installation use a fish wire through the
taillight pocket and bed side to pull harness from
underneath vehicle out through the taillight pocket.
9. Insert the T-One
wire, between the vehicle wiring connectors and
lock into place. All connector surfaces should be
clean and free of dirt.
10. Disconnect the vehicle's Negative (-) battery cable.
If not removed, remove the fuse from the yellow
Connector black box

fuse holder (provided). After cutting the fuse holder
wire, attach the ring terminal and secure to the
vehicle's Positive (+) battery cable. Connect the
other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga.
wire, using the yellow butt connector (provided).

11. Beginning from the front of the vehicle, route the
black 12 ga. wire rearward along the frame rail
avoiding any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or
any other points that may pinch or break the wire.
WARNING
If routing the wire thru a grommet and along the
exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any hot
pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points
that may pinch or break the wire.
12. Connect the other end of the black 12 ga. wire
to the black power wire located on the T-One
Connector's black box, using the yellow butt
connector (provided).
13. Reconnect the vehicle's Negative (-) battery cable
and install the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder
from step 10.
WARNING
Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed
on the tow vehicle's battery. All connections must
be complete for the T-One
properly. Test and verify installation with a test light
or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle
electrical system by temporarily removing the key
from the ignition.
14. Reinstall the taillights assemblies, plastic trim
panels and other items that may have been
removed during installation, being careful not to
pinch or cut the wires.
NOTE
Secure all loose wires and mount the Trailer Tow
Harness in an accessible location with a bracket or
d
electrical box.
WARNING
Overloading circuits can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed stated product ratings. Read vehicle's
owner's manual & instruction sheet for additional
information.
