Gas Supply Pipe
These instructions are for conversion from Natural Gas to Propane (LP) on all models.
The conversion should be performed before connecting the unit to the gas supply.
Units are shipped from the factory equipped for use with natural gas. Orifices
necessary for Propane (LP) are provided in a bag tied to the valve on the front panel.
NOTE: These conversions should only be carried out by qualified persons. All
connections must be checked for leaks before returning the appliance to service.
NOTE:
1.
Turn off the gas supply at the main supply.
2.
Remove the grates from the top of the appliance.
3.
Remove the burner from top of the gas pipe. Take care not to damage the
thermocouples.
Pilot Burner Orifice
1.
Remove the control knobs and front panel.
2.
Remove the pilot burner orifice. Loosen the gas supply tube located at the gas
control unit end of the supply tube to allow the tube to be moved easily without
bending.
3.
Disconnect the gas supply tube from the base of the pilot burner and remove

the pilot orifice from inside the pilot burner.

4.
Determine the correct orifice size for the gas type from the rating label.
5.
Install the new orifice inside the pilot burner.
6.
Re-connect the supply tube to the base of the pilot burner and tighten the gas
supply tube at the gas control unit end. Check for leaks with soap and water.
7.
Replace the front control panel and tighten the four (4) screws on the front to
secure the panel in place.
8.
Replace the control knobs on the front control panel. The control knobs are a
push fit onto the shafts of the gas control valves.
Gas Type Conversion
: To avoid property damage or personal injury, ensure that the
appliance is isolated from the gas supply before performing
servicing.
: To adjust components containing sealed adjustments or set-
tings: Adjustments must be in accordance with the following
instructions. Components must be re-sealed before returning
the appliance to service.
