1.
Remove taillights: Us i ng plastic tri m tool, gently remove plastic taillight cover, both sides. Using T30 s tar driver, remove (2) s crews from tai llights and using 8 mm s ocket, remove (1)
s crew from near taillight, s ee Figure 2. Us i ng 10 mm s ocket, remove (1) nut from inside trunk a ccess panel, both sides, see Figure 3. Sl ide taillight rearward and disconnect wiring
from vehi cle. Set aside i n safe spot for reinstall.

Remove reflector: Us i ng plastic trim tool, remove rear reflector and using 8 mm s ocket remove one screw under reflector, both s ides. Set aside in safe s pot for reinstall.
3.
Lower exhaust: Us i ng 13 mm s ocket, remove (1) bolt from exhaust hanger bracket, both sides, see Figure 4.
4.
Remove bumper fascia:
a)
Us i ng plastic tri m tool, gently pull back wheel well tri m. Using Drill, remove (1) ri vet, both sides. Using 8mm socket, remove (2) s crews, both sides. Note: Ri vets cannot be re-
us ed. Replacements supplied.
b)
Us i ng 8 mm s ocket, remove (23) s crews from bottom edge of fascia.
c)
Gentl y pull fascia to remove from tabs. Disconnect wiring from vehicle. Set fascia aside i n safe clean area.
5.
Remove panels under tailgate: Us i ng 10 mm s ocket, remove (1) nut and using plastic trim tool, remove (2) ri vets from panel located under tailgate, both sid ed, see Figure 5.
6.
Remove bumper beam:
a)
Us i ng pry bar, remove ri vet securing wiring to bumper beam.
b)
Us i ng 18 mm s ocket, remove (4) M12 nuts from bumper beam, both sides.
c)
Remove spacer beam. Return to vehicle owner. Leave gasket seal in place.
7.
Trim bumper beam: Us i ng die gri nder, tri m bumper beam plate by 1" a s s hown i n Figure 6, both sides.
8.
Install hitch: Appl y bl ue thread locker to s tuds. Raise hitch i nto position then sandwich with newly tri mmed i mpact bar.
9.
Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N*M)
10. Trim Fascia panel: Tri m fa scia panel i n area s hown i n Figure 7.
11. Rei nstall all fasteners, bumper panel, interior tri m panel, wiring harness, fascia and bottom panel.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cu t access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements
for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
