Boil-dry Protection
CautIon: Avoid boiling the kettle dry. Never operate the kettle with less than 16 ounces of water (see marks on water
gauge). This kettle is equipped with a self-resetting "boil-dry" switch which protects the appliance in the event of
improper use. if heating is accidentally started without water or if the water evaporates completely, the appliance is
automatically switched OFF by a "boil-dry" protection. Try to avoid allowing the kettle to "boil-dry." if the "boil-dry"
protection is actuated, disconnect the power cord and allow the kettle to cool down for a few minutes and refill with
at least 16 ounces of cold water. The kettle will now operate normally. Frequent "boil-dry" of the kettle may reduce its
usable life. (CautIon: Small amounts of hot water remaining in the kettle can cause scalding injuries.)

qualified personnel.
