A versatile 7.5x high magnification zoom APS-C lens featuring an 18-135mm / 27-202.5mm (35mm
equivalent) focal length, F3.5-5.6 aperture range and Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization
can cover a broad spectrum of subjects and situations, including scenery, portraits, nature, and
general day-to-day photography.
Advanced Aspherical optical design
An aspherical element helps suppress aberrations, achieving impressively high resolution,
sharpness and contrast even at maximum aperture and ultra-wide angles while reducing the
total number of elements required in the lens, thus reducing overall size and weight.
ED (Extra low Dispersion)
Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements control chromatic aberration for excellent sharpness
from image center to periphery. ED glass elements correct for axial chromatic aberration and
chromatic aberration, which affect resolution and bokeh, while leaving precisely rendered edges
with no fringing or unnatural coloration.
7-blade Circular Aperture
When changing your aperture to defocus the background, light sources appear blurred. This
'bokeh' effect of the blurred background is enhanced with the 7-blade circular aperture used
in this lens. Conventional aperture blades have flat sides creating unappealing, polygonal-
shaped, defocused points of light.
