Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding. Accessory
parts may be contained within the packaging material.
Use a damp, soft cloth to thoroughly wash the heating plates of the waffle maker to
remove any manufacturing residues. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
After cleaning, condition the non-stick finish by lightly wiping vegetable oil with paper
toweling or a basting brush over the entire interior surface. Let the cooking oil remain
on the finish. Do not use butter or shortening to condition the non-stick surface.
Discard the first waffle made, as it will absorb any maufacturing residues that are
missed in the initial cleaning. Condition the non-stick surface before every use.
1. Plug the waffle maker into a 120 volt, AC outlet only. Using the color control
knob, select the desired color setting. Let the waffle maker preheat as you
prepare the batter. Note: For the first few uses of your Rotary Waffle Maker, you
may want to set the color selection to the middle temperature range and adjust
according to your tastes and the results obtained. The darker setting will result in
darker, crispier waffles. Lower settings result in softer, lighter colored waffles.
2. Preheat the waffle maker for 3 - 4 minutes. When the green ready light is lit, open
the top cover and pour about ¾ cup of batter into the heating plate. Spread the
batter to the edges of the plate with a non-metallic utensil. Close the top cover
and turn the handle 180° to the right.
3. The green ready light may remain lit for up to 20 seconds after rotating the waffle
maker. Let your waffle cook until the green light has turned back on; turn the
handle counter-clockwise to return the waffle maker to the starting position. Open
the top lid, remove the waffle with a non-metallic utensil. Note: Do not open the
waffle maker too early, as underbaked waffles will split and are difficult to
remove.
4. Repeat the process until no more batter remains. The color control selection can
be changed at any point while making waffles. Be certain to close the waffle
maker between waffles. Additional waffles baked will finish more quickly than the
first waffle.
5. When all waffles have been baked, unplug the waffle maker and leave the top lid
open to allow the waffle maker to cool completely. Be extremely cautious around
the hot waffle maker.
6. Clean your appliance after each use by following the directions in the "Cleaning
Your Rotary Waffle Maker" section.
• A small amount of smoke and/or odor may occur upon heating due to the
release of manufacturing oils – this is normal.
• Some minor expansion/contraction sounds may occur during heating and
cooling – this is normal.
