Congratulations on purchasing the Chariot Infant Sling – a supportive sling that allows young
infants to travel in comfort and safety.
Note: The Infant Sling is only compatible with 2003 and newer Chariot CTS models. It cannot
be used with older models and cannot be installed in the Caddie, Cavalier, and SideCarrier
models.
Compatible models can be recognized by:
– Drilled holes in the lower front section of the upper frame.
– Infant Sling compatible lap belts whose buckles are adjustable at both sides.
Initial Assembly time: About 10-15 minutes.
Tools Required: A 7/16" or 11mm open end or adjustable wrench and a Phillips screwdriver.
Do not use the Infant Sling for cycling. Using the Infant Sling in a bicycle trailer could
result in serious injury or death to the occupant(s) in the event of an accident.
Recommended Size and Weight Restrictions: The Infant Sling is recommended for use with
infants between the ages of 1 and 10 months old. The maximum recommended infant weight
and height for use in the sling is 22 lb/10 kg and 29.5 inches/75 cms.
Do not use the Infant Sling if your infant exceeds the maximum recommended weight or
height, or if the seatbelt does not fit correctly on your infant. Please refer to the owner's
manual for proper seatbelt use.
Parts Included: The Infant Sling kit comes with an Infant Sling, Anchoring Bar, and Hardware
kit. The hardware kit contains two short (1 3/8") bolts, two long (1 5/8") bolts, two D-rings, two
self locking nuts, two nylon washers, and two metal washers. See Figures 1a and 1b below.
