CARE AND CLEANING

•
Always turn the RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker off and remove the plug from the electrical outlet
before cleaning.
•
Lift up the RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker lid. Remove and discard the paper filter and ground
coffee.
•
The Cone Shaped Filter Basket and Permanent Filter can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed
thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher.
•
Dry parts after use.
•
Remove the Carafe from the Heating Plate.
•
Discard any remaining coffee. The Carafe and the lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed
thoroughly, or placed on the top shelf in the dishwasher.
•
To clean base, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before storing.
•
Wipe Heating Plate with a clean, damp cloth.
IMPORTANT:
•
The Carafe is top shelf dishwasher safe only.
•
Never immerse base unit in water or other liquids.
•
Never use rough, abrasive materials or cleaners to clean any part of your RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker.
•
Do not dry the inside of the water reservoir with cloth, as lint may remain.
DESCALING
•
We recommend using the Perfect Pod Café Pure™ Descaling Liquid to regularly descale your RDT Spinning
Sprayhead Coffee Maker.
•

After 100 brew cycles, there will be a "CLEAN" indicator on your Control Panel that will notify you to clean your
brewer. This is a much-needed process that helps remove unwanted build up over time and improve the taste of
your coffee. The steps below will guide you through descaling your brewer.
1.
Fill the Carafe to the "Max" line with a mixture of 1 bottle of Café Pure™ and fill the remainder with water or as
an alternative to descaling liquid you can use 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water to fill your Carafe.
2.
Pour the liquid into the reservoir.
3.
Press the "Brew" button to begin the process.
4.
After completing the cycle, discard the liquid from the Carafe into the sink.
5.
Wash the Carafe with soapy water and rinse with clean water.
6.
Fill the Carafe with clean water and pour the clean water into the Water Reservoir.
7.
Press the "Brew" button to flush out any remaining mixture.
8. Repeat step 4 - 6 two times or until any unwanted flavor has been eliminated.
9. Reset the Clean indicator by pressing and holding the Timer On

button for 5 seconds.
