IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, including the following:
•
Read all instructions before first use.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces. Always wait for Heating Plate and Carafe to cool before washing, moving
or storing.
•
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
•
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
•
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee
Maker to cool before cleaning or storing.
•
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or has
been damaged in any manner. If you think there may be an issue with your product, please contact

•
Do not use outdoors.
•
Always use in an area with sufficient air circulation, never place in a cabinet, or similar enclosure
when in use.
•
Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
•
The use of extension cords is not recommended.
•
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
•
Never operate the Vinci RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker with a damaged or cracked Carafe,
or a loose or damaged handle.
•
Always use caution when pouring hot coffee.
•
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
•
Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision
or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Vinci Housewares may cause injuries and
should not be used.
•
Always empty and allow Carafe to cool before cleaning.
•
Cleaning and other brewer maintenance should not be performed by children.
WARNING: Do not use the Vinci RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker if the unit is cracked or damaged in any way.
OPERATING NOTICE: Clogging and backing up of water and/or coffee in the filter basket can occur under any or
a combination of any of the following conditions: The use of too finely ground coffee, using two or more paper
filters, using the mesh filter in conjunction with a paper filter or not properly cleaning coffee grounds from the
mesh filter, or allowing coffee grounds to spill over the filter.

WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK
•
To Reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove cover.
•
No user serviceable parts inside.
•
Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.
•
Do not immerse in any liquid.
•
Household use only.
WARNING: ABOUT THE GLASS CARAFE
•
The glass Carafe is designed to be used with the Vinci RDT Spinning Sprayhead Coffee Maker only.
It must never be used on a range top, oven, open flame or in a microwave.
•
Do not place the Carafe anywhere other than the designated Heating Plate on the RDT Spinning
Sprayhead Coffee Maker.
•
Do not set a hot Carafe on a wet or cold surface.
•
Do not use a cracked or damaged Carafe or a Carafe with a loose or damaged handle.
•
Do not clean the Carafe with any abrasive cleaning materials, steel wool pads or other items which
may scratch the Carafe.
SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS:
•
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a long cord.
•
If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
•
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit into the outlet one way.
•
If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug, and try to re-insert the plug into the outlet.
•
Do not force the plug into the outlet.
•
Do not attempt to modify the electrical plug in any way.
•
If the plug still does not fit, please contact a qualified electrician.
CAUTION: Never open the brewer lid during the brew cycle, even if no water is draining from the filter
basket because extremely hot water/coffee can spill out from the filter basket and cause injury. If water/
coffee is not draining from filter basket during the brew cycle, unplug the unit and wait 10 minutes
before opening and checking the filter basket.
