7. Connecting the Hama Powerline Adapter:
This section explains how to connect a Powerline
adapter to a computer.
Before you connect the adapter, please take note of the
device password, which is printed on a label attached to
the bottom of the adapter. You may need this password
later for confi guring the network.

Plug the enclosed Ethernet cable into the network
socket at the bottom of the adapter.
•
Then connect the other end, e.g. to your router,
computer or other network devices.
•
Finally, plug the adapter into a mains socket or power
strip.
Note: No drivers are required for installation.
8. Hama Powerline 85 Mbps Utility:
This section introduces you to the Hama Powerline 85
Mbps Utility. Please note that the utility runs on Windows
2000/XP or Vista only.
Installing the Hama Powerline 85 Mbps Utility:
1. Place the enclosed CD-ROM in your drive.
2. Select your preferred language in the autostart menu.
3. Now click the menu item Install Hama Powerline
Utility.
