Remove underbody panel: If a pplicable, using M7 s ocket and s crewdriver remove the screws and plastic push ri vets that hold the underbody panel i n pl ace. Remove the underbody panel
between the mufflers. Return to vehicle owner or tri m to fi t and reinstall. Note: Extensive tri mming would be required.

Lower Exhaust – Us i ng a 10mm socket remove the bolt from the exhaust hanger on the outboard side of the framerail, push hanger up and outward to remove from the framerail. Using
exha ust hanger removal pliers, remove the rubber exhaust hanger near the rear differential. Be sure to support the exhaust to prevent damage. Set fasteners aside for reinstallation.

Remove heat shields - Us i ng a 10mm socket remove the nuts holding the heat shield, using a 7mm socket remove the screw holding the heat shield to the wheel well liner, remove the heat
s hi eld. Cut a 1.5" hole forward of the forward attachment i n the heat shield to clear the middle fastener for the hitch, see Fig. 2. Set fasteners aside for reinstallation.
4.
Remove M16 bumper bolt – Us i ng a 21mm socket remove the bumper bolt from the bottom of the framerail. Set aside for reinstallation.
5.
Remove rearmost fascia fasteners – Remove the plastic push rivets from the rearmost l ower edge of the fascia. Set fasteners aside for reinstallation.
6.
Remove Kick Sensor (If applicable) – Us i ng a ¼" drill bit remove the center (4) ri vets holding the kick sensor in place.
7.
Trim fascia – If a pplicable, move the kick sensor aside to avoid cutting during tri mming. Find the center of the fascia and trim the vehicl e fascia per Fig. 3. *Di mension are approximate.
8.
Install hitch – Us i ng the supplied pullwires
s ure weldnuts are free from rust and debris. Raise the hitch into position and align holes in hitch bracket to the frame rail weldnuts guiding the pullwire ends through h oles in the hitch bracket
a nd l oosely reinstall the M16 bumper bolts removed i n s tep 4. Remove pullwires, i nstall conical washers
9.
Tighten all M16 fasteners with torque wrench to 146 Ft.Lb. (198 N*M), 1/2" fasteners to 75 Ft.Lb. (102 N*M)
10. Reinstall modified heat shields – Rei nstall the modified heat shields back into place over the hitch bracket using all fasteners removed earlier. Reinstall fascia fasteners.
11. Reinstall exhaust – Rei nstall the kick sensor, raise exhaust back into position a nd reinstall all exhaust hangers and fascia fasteners.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be
removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access o r attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices
and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
