Installation
• C heckthatthemaximuminletpressureisnot
higherthanthedesignpressureoftheregula-
tor .
• R egulatorshouldbeliftedonlywithbeltsaround
thebody .
• A rrange enough room for the serving of the
regulator .
Before installing the pressure regulator in the
piping,thefollowingmustbechecked:
• T he upstream and downstream flanges must
beparallelsoastoinstalltheregulatorwithout
unduestress .
• T heupstreampipingmustbecleanedfromall
impurities(sand,weldingslag,etc . )
• T hepressureregulatormustnotbevisiblydam-
aged .
• T heinletandoutletchambersofthepressure
regulatormustbeperfectlyclean .
• M akesurethatthedirectionofgasflowcorre-
spondstothearrowonthepressureregulator
body .
Installation position
• F oreaseofoperation,werecommendperform-
inginstallationwiththevalvebodyinhorizontal
alignment,withactuatorupwards .
Sensing line
• T hesensinglinemustbeconnectedtoasection
reasonablyfreefromturbulences,preferablyin
astraightsectionofthedownstreampiping(ap-
prox . 5D) .

the following cross sections of breathing line

Start up- Instructions
• T ostart-uptheregulatorafterinstallationprop-
erly,proceedasfollows:
• ( 1)Checkthattheupstream-anddownstream
valvesareclosed;
• ( 2) If the regulator is fitted with the shut-off
valve,theshut-offvalvemustbeclosed;
• ( 3)Opentheupstreamvalve;
• ( 4) Reset the shut-off valve slowly and check
thatthedownstreampressureisrisingslowlyon
the downstream side manometer . The down-
stream pressure should stop at the closing
pressure(seealsopage29to32);
• ( 5)Openthedownstreamvalvesslowlytocon-
troltheevenflow .
Regulator- and SSV-set point
• T he regulator is delivered according to the
specifications,specified inthe purchase order .
Iftheadjustedoutlet-/SSVshutoff-pressure
istobechanged,proceedasfollows:
• I ncreasingtheoutlet-/shutoffpressure:
Theadjustingscrewistoturnclockwise;
• D ecreasingtheoutlet-/shutoff-pressure:
Theadjustingscrewistoturnanti-clockwise
