9. Handling
• Observe all the safety instructions in this operating manual!
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. Children cannot
estimate the risks in connection with electronic/electric devices.
• Avoid the following adverse ambient conditions during operation or transport:
- wetness or excess air humidity
- extreme cold (<0°C) or heat (>40°C)
- direct solar radiation
- dust or flammable gasses, vapours or solvents (danger of explosion!)
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields like close to machines or loudspeakers
• The product may only be operated in dry interior rooms and it may not become damp
or wet! Caution, risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Never use the product immediately after bringing it from a cold to a warm room. The
condensation water that develops may lead to the appliance malfunctioning. Caution,
risk of a fatal electric shock!
Always let the product reach room temperature before using it. This might take several
hours.
• Make sure that the insulation of the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed
and never disassemble it.
• Check the product for damages prior to each use.
If you notice any defects, you may not operate the product! Mortal danger in case of
damaged power pack(s)! Then bring the product to a specialist workshop!
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- there is visible evidence that the appliance has been damaged
- the device no longer functions and
- when the appliance has been stored for long periods of time under unfavourable
conditions or
- the appliance has been subjected to heavy transport strain.
• Never place the TV box on precious furniture surfaces without protection.
• When installing the product, make sure the cables are not bend or squashed. Install
the cables in such a way that no one can trip over them.
• If you do not use the product for a longer period of time (e.g. in storage), keep it in a
dry, clean place (no damp basement or similar).
