Since smoke rises to the top and spreads horizontally, install the smoke detector in the middle of the room if possible.
Observe a minimum distance of 0.5m from the side wall and 0.6m from the corner of the room, as well as a maximum
installation height of 6m (see Fig.6).
Remove the mounting plate located on the back of the housing by turning it counterclockwise.
Select an easily accessible installation location, as the smoke alarm detector must be checked weekly for
proper functioning!
Hold the mounting base to the position on the ceiling where you want to attach the unit. Then draw the holes
for the drill holes on the ceiling with a pencil.
Then drill two holes (Ø 6mm). Take the two plugs included in the delivery and insert them into the drilled
holes.
Screw the mounting base to the ceiling. The screws are included in the delivery.
Attach the housing to the mounting base by turning it clockwise until it clicks into place.
Dismantling lock: To prevent the smoke detector from being dismantled, for example by unauthorised
persons, we recommend the dismantling lock (see Fig.9).
Reasons for a false alarm:
Water and kitchen vapours
very high air humidity
very dusty air
very heavy smoke from cigarettes or cigars, for example
Behavior in case of fire:
In case of fire, go outside immediately and call the fire brigade for help! Do not waste time by putting on clothes or
carrying personal belongings. Inhaling the dangerous smoke gas will cause severe damage to your body, which can
lead to unconsciousness and subsequent death!
Further fire protection measures:
Creation of an escape plan
Fire extinguisher and fire blanket
Operate open fire e.g. lighted candles only under adult supervision
Use electrical devices with automatic switch-off
