CHAIN AND GUIDE BAR ASSEMBLY

1. Unpack all parts carefully.
2. Place the chain saw on a solid, level surface.
3. Use only genuine 14 in Oregon
recommended for guide bar.
4. Slide the chain (7) in the slot around the guide bar
(6). Ensure the chain is in correct running direction
by comparing it to the chain icon on the guide bar, or
referring to the chain direction symbol found on the guide
bar.
5. Remove sprocket cover (14) by turning sprocket fastener (15)
counter-clockwise.
6. Fit the chain onto the drive sprocket (17), so that the guide bar
location pin (18) fits into the guide bar slot and the bar locating

7. Assure all parts are seated properly. Make sure the drive links
are fully seated in the drive sprocket, avoiding a kink. If kink

sprocket fastener knob (15) clockwise until it is tight.
LOCK/UNLOCK CHAIN BRAKE

To lock the brake push forward on the front handle guard (2). To unlock,
pull back handle guard towards you.

FILLING OIL TANK

The chainsaw is not filled with oil at the time of purchase. It is essential
to fill the tank with chain oil before use. Operating the chainsaw without
chain oil or when the oil level is below a certain amount will result in
damage to the chainsaw. Chain life and cutting capacity depend on
optimum lubrication. The chain is automatically lubricated with chain oil
during operation, if there is sufficient oil in the reservoir. Oil level should
also be checked after every 20 minutes of use and refilled as needed.
1. Remove chain oil cap on saw head (11).
2. Check plastic dipstick to see oil levels.
3. If levels are below half, then use chain oil to fill DO NOT OVERFILL.
4. Tighten bar oil cap and check for leaks.
