Unpack all parts, make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter "Product
contents and device overview") and check for any damages from transport. If you identify dam-
age to the components, do not use them (!). Instead contact our customer service centre (see
chapter "Customer service").

Installation of the software

In order to digitise records with the device, you will have to install the enclosed "Audacity
software on your computer.
ATTENTION: The enclosed "Audacity
2000 and XP. For Windows Vista and 7, Mac OS and OS X and Unix/Linux, you can download
corresponding "Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
1. Insert the enclosed software CD in your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. The "Audacity " installation process will start automatically. Follow the instructions on the

screen.
If the installation does not start automatically, open the directory of your CD-ROM
drive (generally marked with the letter "D") and double click the file "audacity.exe"
to launch it.
IMPORTANT: You will need the "Lame MP3 encoder" to save any of the tracks you record as
a MP3 file. You will have to download this encoder only once and free of charge before saving
a track as a MP3 file for the first time.
