Open circuit or
short circuit
Explanation
(2a) This indicates a high-resistance fault, which
restricts the amount of current flowing
through the circuit. Possible faults include
a poor connection, wet cables, or a line
extender failure.
(2b) This indicates a partial short circuit.
Break the circuit down into sections and check
each section for continuity.
