Switching on
Insert the drip tray (17) as described in the section

the drip tray.
Insert the plug into a mains socket.
‹
Turn the timer (6) to the "I" position. The power indicator (8)
‹
lights up.
Use the thermostat (9) to set the required temperature for the
‹
food you wish to cook (see section Operating elements).
Allow the appliance to heat up after switching on. The operat-
‹
ing temperature is reached in approx. 8 minutes when the lid
(2) is closed.
When the standby indicator (7) lights up, the preset tempera-
‹
ture has been reached and grilling can start.
NOTE
The temperature and timer settings can be changed at any
►
time during grilling.
Using as a contact grill or sandwich toaster
Switch on the device as described in the section

on.
Open the lid (2).
‹
Put the food onto the lower grill plate (11).
‹
Close down the lid (2).
‹
Grill the food until it is browned or cooked as desired.
