DRY IRONING
- The steam iron can be used on the dry setting with or without water in the reservoir. However, it is advisable
not to overfill the reservoir with water when ironing.
- Put the steam selector in the "0" position.
- Stand the iron on its heel on a stable surface and plug it in.
- Select the appropriate temperature for the material that you are going to iron.
- When you hear a click, you can start ironing.
- When you have finished, unplug the iron from the power supply.
PRECAUTION: If the steam iron has been used for some time, it will be hot and empty of water. Do not add
more water until the iron has cooled down.
SHOT OF STEAM
- The shot of steam function provides extra steam to remove difficult creases.
- Adjust the maximum temperature by pressing the "+" button on the temperature control buttons.
- Switch on the steam function (move the steam selector to the "I" position).
Press the extra steam button to produce a shot of steam. NOTE: To stop water coming out of the sole plate,
do not press the extra steam button for more than 5 seconds.
- The extra steam button also works when the iron is in the vertical position. It is very effective for removing
fold marks from suits, curtains, etc.
VERTICAL STEAM
- Make sure that there is sufficient water in the reservoir.
- Stand the iron on its heel on a stable surface and plug it in.
- Adjust the temperature to maximum by pressing the "+" button.
- Put the steam selector in the "I" position.
- When you hear a click, the steam iron will have reached the selected temperature.
- Stand the iron vertically and press the extra steam button. Copious amounts of steam will come out of the
iron's sole plate.
CARE FOR AND CLEANING THE IRON
- Before cleaning the steam iron, make sure that it is unplugged from the mains supply and that it has cooled
down completely.
- Clean the outside of the iron with a damp cloth and then dry it.
- Dirt on the sole plate can be removed with a cloth dampened with vinegar.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners.
AUTOMATIC CLEANING
- It is important to use the self-cleaning function at least once every two weeks to remove impurities etc.
- You must use the self-cleaning function more frequently if your water is hard.
- Fill the water reservoir to the "MAX" line.
- Adjust the temperature to "MAX".
- Insert the plug into the wall socket.
- Allow the iron to heat up until you hear a click.
- Hold the iron horizontally over the sink and then press the self-cleaning button.

- Boiling water and steam will come out of the holes in the base plate. The impurities will come out at the same
time.
Meanwhile, gently shake the iron backwards and forwards to eliminate all the impurities.
- Put the steam selector in the "0" position when the reservoir is empty.
- If a lot of impurities have come out, repeat the self-cleaning process.
- Put the iron on an old piece of cloth. This is to ensure that the sole plate will be dry when the iron is
stored.
- Unplug the iron and leave it to cool down before storing it.
STORAGE
- Unplug the steam iron from the power supply and leave it to cool down completely.
- After using it, empty the water reservoir and then roll the cable round the heel.
