1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Replace the cell with a battery of the same type
(CR 2032). Please observe the correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment.
WARNING:
• Do not expose the batteries to intense heat such as
sunlight, fire or similar. There is a risk of explosion!
• Keep batteries away from children! They are not a toy.
• Do not open batteries with force.
• Avoid contact with metallic objects (rings, nails, screws,
etc.). There is a risk of short circuit!
• Batteries may heat up considerably through a short
circuit or may even ignite. It could result in burns.
• The battery terminals should be covered with adhesive
tape during transport for your safety.
• Batteries can leak out and can lose battery acid. If the
device is not used for a longer period of time, remove
the battery from the remote control.
• If a battery does leak out, do not rub the liquid into your
eyes or the mucous membranes. In case of contact,
wash your hands, rinse your eyes with clear water, and if
the symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
CAUTION:
• Batteries can leak out and can lose battery acid. If the
device is not used for a longer period of time, remove
the battery from the remote control.
• Batteries do not belong in the household waste. Please
dispose of spent batteries at authorized collection
points or at the dealer.
Setting the clock time
The clock time can only be set when the device is in standby
mode.
1. Press the MEM/CLK-ADJ button. "24H" starts flashing in
the display.
2. Use the
button to select the time display format (24-
hour or 12-hour format).
NOTE:
When selecting the 12-hour format, the display will
show: AM = morning, PM = afternoon.
3. Press the MEM/CLK-ADJ button. The hours start flashing.
4. Use the
and
buttons to adjust the hours.
5. Press the MEM/CLK-ADJ button. The minutes start
flashing.
6. Use the
and
buttons to adjust the minutes.
NOTE:
The clock time settings will be lost, once disconnected from
the mains supply.
General operation
NOTE:
• You will find some buttons both on the device and
the remote control. Identical buttons have the same
function.
• The operation of the device is described by the buttons
on the device.
Turning device on/off
• Press the
button (17) to turn the device on.
• To turn off the device, press the
control lamp
(8) lights up red.
NOTE:
After approx. 15 minutes without signal or with very poor
signal, the device will automatically switch to standby.
Volume
Use the VOL / buttons (6) to adjust the volume as desired.
FUNC (1)
Press the FUNC button until the desired operating mode is
shown in the display.
EQ (13)
Press the EQ button repeatedly to select one of the preset
equalizer sound modes. You may choose from the following:
(FLAT, CLASSIC, ROCK, POP, JAZZ).
MUTE (11 on the remote control)
You can quickly shut off the sound using the MUTE button.
The display will show "MUTE". Press the button again to turn
the sound back on.
INFO (6 on the remote control)
Pressing this button during MP3 playback will allow you to
turn on or off ID3 tag metadata. Such data appear as scrolling
text in the display.
DISPLAY (10 on the remote control)
• Press this button briefly when the device is switched on,
in order to briefly show the clock time.
• Press the button repeatedly when the device is switched
on, in order to display the current alarm time settings. (See
chapter "Timer function".)
Listening to the Radio
1. Fully extend the telescopic antenna. If necessary, change
the position for a better reception.
2. Select the radio mode with the FUNC button (1). "FM"
will appear in the display.
