4. Selecting suitable location
GB
CAUTION: A suitable location must be selected prior to setting up the pool. An incorrect location can result
in injuries, damage to the pool and a lot less fun in the pool. The grass under the pool will suffer dramatic
effects due to a lack of light and the pressure.
ALWAYS OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING POINTS WHEN SELECTING A SUITABLE LOCATION:
•
The nature of the ground:
•
solid and flat (no mounds or hollows)
•
extremely level (incline of less than 3°)
•
area free of sticks, stones, sharp objects and other debris
•
area free of hardy plants and weeds which could grow through the pool
•
concrete, etc.: always place a ground cloth underneath the pool
•
Position of the location:
•
not underneath power lines
•
not underneath trees
•
not directly above supply lines or telephone lines
•
distance of at least 3.5 metres to a power outlet
•
note the length of the filter pump cord. It must be possible to connect the filter pump without an
extension cable.
•
open area with direct sunlight to ensure the water warms up naturally.
NEVER
•
use sand or any other levelling agent underneath the pool!
5. Assembly and filling the pool
5.1 Assembly
CAUTION: Never drag the pool across the ground, as this could tear or damage it. If the position of the pool
has to be changed, fold it up and carry it to the new position with the help of a second person.
1. Carry the pool to a suitable location.
2. Carefully spread out the supplied ground cloth to cover the selected area. Make sure the ground cloth
is flat and free from creases. CAUTION: A ground cloth must be used when setting up the pool on a
concrete or asphalt surface.
3. Carefully unfold the pool. The exterior of the wall faces upwards. Allow the sun to warm the pool liner
for at least one hour to ensure easier beam insertion and assembly.
4. Make sure filter connection holes are facing the area where you will subsequently put the filter pump.
Measure the distance to the electric socket. Can the filter pump be connected?
5. Pull the liner straps, connected to the bottom of the pool and intended for connection to the "u
shaped" side supports, out taut. The ushaped side supports are inserted into the liner straps.
Assembly of the steel frame
Make sure that assembly of the beams occurs on the ground. Check the number of frame parts as listed
in the following table, and note the corresponding article number for your pool:
