Important Safety Information
• CAUTION - The Recovery Tire Repair Kit is designed as a temporary repair. Consult a local tire repair shop for repair or
replacement of the damaged tire.
• If repairing the tire while it is still on the vehicle, make sure vehicle is on level ground and secure, unable to roll.
• Tire Plugs are not designed for sidewalls or punctures greater than 1/4" - See a local tire repair shop
• Remember, tires are under pressure. Residue air can and will escape during the repair process.
• Always wear safety glasses when working with pressurized items such as tires.

Plug Repair Steps

Using provided needle nose pliers, remove object that
caused puncture. Take care, especially if the tire still has
residual air pressure. Air will escape using the repair
process.

Insert Reamer in puncture. Cycle the reamer through the
puncture wound while twisting the reamer. This will open
the rubber slightly while repositioning the steel belts to
make room for the plug.

Place a small amount of rubber cement on the T-Handle
Reamer tool. The cement will act as a
during repair and help seal the puncture when it dries.

Thread a plug through the T-Handle Insertion Needle.
Adjust needle to middle of the plug. Flattening the end of
the plug will help get it started through the needle.
