INSTALLATION
1. Before starting to wire, make sure that all the units to be connected are off.
2. Fit the lens to the CCTV camera.
3. Connect the CCTV camera to the other devices of the system using an approved 75 ohm coax cable.
4. Power on the CCTV camera (power led is switch on).
5. Make the adjustments required (see paragraph below).

CONTROLS AND SETTINGS

1. Backlight compensation: subjects will appear dark and hardly visible if lit by a strong light from the
back. Position dip-switch BLC to BLC to compensate for this problem.
2. Automatic exposure control: position dip-switch ES to ES to automatically vary the electronic shutter
speed according to the light conditions in the environment.
Note: Use of automatic electronic shutter speed control may cause flickering of the image when a
source of fluorescent light is framed.
DO NOT USE THIS FUNCTION WITH AUTO-IRIS LENSES.
3. Automatic gain control: in order to ensure sharp and noiseless pictures in any light condition, it is
strongly recommended to keep the Automatic Gain Control dip-switch (AGC) on the NOR position.
When the camera is used in extremely variable light conditions, position AGC dip-switch to AGC and
avoid any level adjustment which might result in a low-light image.
4. Auto-Iris controls: DC/VIDEO driver switch can be used to select two types of lenses:
•
DC driver lenses (without amplifier): position switch to DC; use the camera LEVEL settings to
obtain a clear, sharp picture, if required.
•
VIDEO driver lenses (with amplifier): position switch to VIDEO; use the camera LEVEL and lens
ALC settings to obtain a clear, sharp picture, if required.
Note: These adjustments are usually made by the manufacturer and need not be modified.
When using an Auto-Iris lens, the automatic exposure control switch (ES) must be set on NOR.
