Putting the Device into Operation

Unpacking the Device

Remove the device and accessories from the packaging. Check
the items supplied for completeness and transport damage.
If you fi nd transport damage, do not use the device (!), but
contact the customer service department immediately.

Inserting Batteries

– You require four 1.5 V batteries, AA type.
These are not supplied with the device.
– Replace the batteries in good time when the power
of the device starts to become weaker.
1. Unscrew the lid from the main unit by turning it in an
anticlockwise direction.
2. Press the two locking lugs on the battery compartment
cover towards the cover and remove the cover from the
battery compartment at the same time.
3. Insert four 1.5 V batteries, AA type into the battery
compartment. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).
4. Place the battery compartment cover back onto the
battery compartment and fl ip the cover shut so that it
engages audibly.
5. Screw the lid back onto the main unit.
