15. Troubleshooting
The CD is played with interruptions.
•
The CD is dirty.
•
The CD is scratched.
•
The CD has a manufacturing flaw.
•
During playback, the device is subjected to vibrations.
•
Use a lower speed to burn your audio CD.
•
If your CD-R cannot be played properly, use a different CD brand.
MP3 files cannot be played.
•
Do not mix MP3 files on the CD with other files types (e.g. WMA files).
•
Use a lower speed to burn your MP3 CD.
•
Use universal file standard ISO 9660 to burn your CDs.
The PITCH slide control (23) does not function.
•
The PITCH function is deactivated.
The track buttons (9 and 10) do not function.
•
The FOLDER function is activated.
No sound audible.
•
A device in the playback chain is not turned on.
•
The wrong input was selected on the amplifier/mixing desk.
•
The volume control of the amplifier/mixing desk or the power amplifier is turned to MINIMUM.
A channel does not work.
•
An RCA cable has come off from the audio output of the CD player or the amplifier/mixing desk input.
•
The balance control was set wrongly on the amplifier/mixing desk.
•
The RCA connection cable is defective.
ID3 text is not displayed.
•
The MP3 files on the data source (CD, USB memory, SD card) do not contain any ID3 text data.
•
There are no MP3 files on the source device.
Repairs other than those described above should only be carried out by an authorised spe-
cialist.
