Electronic coils with
variable advance
ATTENTION:
The Malossi ECU is fully
interchangeable with the original
ECU. If any of the Malossi ECU's
wiring does not correspond with
the original wiring then DO NOT
PROCEED WITH THE INSTALLATION.
Malossi will consider the warranty
void if any wires of the ECU are
stripped, spliced or altered in any
way from their original state.
Modifications to the ECU and
its wiring are strictly prohibited.
Malossi declines any responsibility
due to such modifications.
Fitting instructions
Before starting fitting the new
Malossi TC UNIT, it is recommended
to clean carefully at least the part
of the vehicle on which operations
are carried out. Given the huge
number of vehicles covered by
Malossi and the simplicity of the
operations which have to be carried
out in order to install one of our
TC UNIT, we just give here some
general advice.
Disassemble the TC UNIT,
disconnect the electronic
connections and start fitting
repeating the disassembling
operations in the inverse order,
accurately checking the complete
compatibility of Malossi ECU
pg. 2).
This Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
contains two diff erent maps,
(STANDARD and MHR) and is sold

with the Standard map for YAMAHA
TZR (MINARELLI AM 6) 50 2t LC
as default:
1)
STANDARD map: Sport setup
2)
MHR map: to use only
with MHR Malossi cylinder
and exhaust.
For other vehicles, it is necessary
to reprogram the ECU according to
the following simple procedure.
It is necessary to reprogram the
ECU according to the make/model
of the vehicle in order for the
speedometer to function correctly.
In the event that the ECU is
not programmed correctly, the
speedometer will indicate an error.

NB: The speedometer is calibrated
for a maximum speed of 90 km/h
(any speed above this will be
indicated as 90 km/h).
