HOW TO MAKE YOGHURT AND KEFIR
1.- Prepare the yoghurt/kefir mixture with the recipe you want.
NOTE:
There is a recipe book in the box that you can use.
2.- Pour the mixture into the yoghurt/kefir container (4a) and cover it with the yoghurt/kefir lid (4b).
NOTE:
A little boiled water should be put in the body of the yoghurt maker. That will make
the heat transmission over the entire surface more uniform and the mixture will have better
fermentation. Do not use more than 300 ml of water.
3.- Put the container with the lid into the body of the yoghurt maker (2) and cover it with the outer
lid (1).
4.- Plug the appliance into a compatible outlet.
NOTE:
When you plug the appliance in you will hear a beep and the light panel (3a) will
light up with the starting values.
5.- Push the FUNCTION button (3e) and select function no. 1 (F1) to make yoghurt of function no.
2 (F2) to make kefir.
6.- Set the time you want the mixture to ferment using the time selector by hours (3f).
NOTE:
The default time is 8 hours for yoghurt (F1) and 14 hours for kefir (F2). However,
the time can be increased or decreased by 1 - 24 hours (F1) and 1 - 48 hours (F2) with the
time selector. The time needed to ferment either recipe depends on the ingredients used, the
ambient exterior temperature and the finish you want. The more the mixture is fermented the
more sour it will be.
7.- Push the START button (3d).
NOTE:
After pushing the START button the red "heating" indicator (3b) on the control panel
will light up until the optimum temperature is reached. Afterwards, the green "keep warm" light
(3c) will light up. The red and green indicators will alternate during the fermentation process,
this is completely normal.
8.- When the fermentation time is done you will hear three beeps and the appliance will
automatically stop running. Unplug the yoghurt maker.
NOTE:
If you don't unplug the yoghurt maker it will beep every 30 minutes.
9.- Let the yoghurt/kefir cool down to room temperature. And then put the container with the lid
(4b) in the refrigerator. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator.
