7. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
The VALS
does not work
The VALS
moves very slowly and bubbles of air
appear in the return nozzle
The VALS
is stuck in the ladders and in the
steps of the ladders
1.
Press the base and pull the mat as shown in diagram 1.
2.
Remove the whole VALS mat.
3.
Replace the mat (4406010000) with a new one by turning it into place.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE BASE SOCKETS!!!
Install the VALS once again and start up the pump.

Check that the membrane is not blocked. If it is, remove the solid debris inside the suction
cavity.

Check the flow using the flow metre

Check the water tightness of the circuit: between the apparatus and the hose, between all
sections of the hose, between the hose and the valve, between the valve and the skimmer.

Place the deflector in the best position to avoid blocking and let it adapt to the shape and the
obstacles of the swimming pool.
•
This problem can be solved in some cases by connecting the hose to the suction intake or the
skimmer that is furthest away from the ladder, or cut 1 section of hose to stop it reaching the
steps

SOLUTION
Check that the drain valve is properly closed.
Check that the filter and skimmer basket are perfectly clean.
Ensure that the hose and automatic control are properly
connected.
Check that the suction system of the apparatus is not blocked.
Check that the membrane is not blocked.
